Library

The John M. Gandy Library prepares students to be thoughtful seekers of information. Here students discover their own personal reading interests while also developing information literacy, library, and inquiry skills. We encourage and even celebrate curiosity. In our library, students learn to navigate a variety of reference sources to answer their own questions. We aim to nurture students’ creativity where problem-solving is paramount, communication lines are open, and collaboration is a daily occurrence.

Students inside the libraryTeachers also find support in the library. Instructional resources are always available, and project collaboration between our librarian and our instructional staff is ongoing.

Stop by to see our book signings, wax museums, and author visits. Need Reading Olympics materials? They’re here! The library is home to math and science manipulatives, literature circle novels, read aloud materials, and leveled guided reading books. Providing students and teachers with quality instructional resources is our top priority.

Our library is more than books on shelves; it’s the heart of our school!
